Conference Goals
The conference is designed to:
  • Disseminate diagnostic and educational assessment strategies so that early detection and appropriate services are provided to individuals with AD/HD.
  • Exchange information regarding access to community services, educational legislation, academic approaches and eligibility for services.
  • Educate professionals about agency collaboration, transition services, evidence-based practices, assistive technology and behavioral interventions.

Objectives

  • To gain an understanding of educational assessment, identification and eligibility for K-12 and post-secondary students to include transition services
  • Identify diagnostic strategies, differential diagnosis, co-morbidities, and treatment of individuals with AD/HD
  • Achieve the ability to access and coordinate community services
  • Learn about evidence-based practices across systems
  • Explore behavioral intervention models
  • Become aware of educational legislation and litigation affecting this target population
